Boggsville, Colorado, is a historic town located in Bent County, in the southeastern part of the state. The town was founded in 1862 by Thomas Boggs, a prominent local rancher and businessman, who established a trading post and stage stop in the area.

Boggsville quickly became an important center of commerce and trade in the region, and by the late 1860s, it had a population of around 200 people. The town boasted a number of businesses, including a general store, a saloon, a blacksmith shop, and a post office.

In addition to its commercial activities, Boggsville played an important role in the history of the American West. The town was a key stop on the Santa Fe Trail, a major trade route that linked the eastern United States with Mexico and the Pacific Coast.
